Welcome to Torbay Bygones

The aim of this website is to provide local people, visitors and past residents with pictures and information about Torbay from the past which I hope you'll find intriguing and enjoyable.

I've always been interested in old pictures of the bay, so I decided to put this site together to show some of the photographs and postcards that I have collected or come across over the years, mainly from the earlier part of the twentieth century.

I have tried to date each picture and give some information on it.

If anyone has any more info about a photo they have seen, please contact me and I will be happy to add it to the site.

I will try and update the site a bit more this year, so I will start with the new pictures on this page which were both taken from postcards.
